emergency commissions

I am presently opening up emergency commissions not for myself, but for the sake of my friend who has passed away. There may come a time where I need to open these for my own sake, but at the moment all money from commissions will be going directly to this fundraiser in order to raise money for his funeral over the next two weeks. I want to be as transparent about that as possible, so please comment here on this journal entry in order to request a commission, though for further details you are welcome to go over them with me via PM or contacting me through Yamadori or Discord (Yamadori#7457).

ICONS

$0.10 per icon for drawn/cg/live action; $0.25 per icon for manga coloring

Maximum 50 icons per commission for colored icons, maximum 200 per commission for anything else

Drawn mediums preferred, but I'm open to trying to icon other things as well. I have little experience iconing CG and no experience with live action, but I'm willing to learn and keep working until the icons are satisfactory

for sprite icons please let me know if there's specific background color(s) or positioning you would like; if you could grab one from here that would be much appreciated

no extra charge for cleaning or removal of speech/thought bubbles, but I can only do very minor fixes (i.e. I can't do much redrawing except for very tiny things). I erase bubbles by default but let me know if you'd like to keep them and/or have them colored, with or without text

if possible a reference for manga coloring would be great! If that's not available for any reason, feel free to tell me the colors you would like

I'm not anticipating each commission to take longer than a day unless I have many at once, but I will contact you immediately if it seems like there will be a delay. Manga coloring will take more time than regular icons and is a little harder to gauge, so I apologize if those are finished a little slower

Charge rate is $5 for every 500 words (example: $5 for 500 words; $10 for 1,000 words; $15 for 1,500 words; $20 for 2,00 words; etc.)

I am willing to write for any fandom I have experience with, although depending on what it is, I do ask for a little time to canon review if it’s something I haven’t consumed in a while

Commissions can be as general or specific as you like. However, for more general commissions I may need to ask some questions during the writing process

Please let me know if there is anything you definitely do not want

Things I am not willing to write: excessive body horror (eye horror, overly detailed descriptions of wounds and/or organs, etc.); incest; noncon (talk to me first about dubcon but should still be okay under most circumstances)

Inexperienced writing anything 18+ but definitely okay with trying

Please do not commission me for nsfw content if you are 17 years old or younger

Thank you, I appreciate that so much. I'm actually not sure if today is the last day, since the fundraiser said on November 1st that they had approximately two weeks, but it looks like at my time of writing this that the gofundme is still open, so I'll be taking on your commission regardless! I am working today but I'm free for another... three hours or so? And if I can't finish before then I should be able to knock out some more when I get home. Just let me know who you'd like; if you can send me the panels that'd be great, but if not I can hunt them down!

No problem-- this is for Natori Shuuichi from Natsume Yuujinchou. The series tends to use a lot of screentones and has a pretty sketchy style, which I know can be a real pain-- feel free to handle however is easiest for you, and I'm more than happy to go for a higher price for them. I've created an imgur album over here (that hopefully should work, it's been a while since I used imgur) with 34 panels plus a few reference images for Natori himself (and the cat that appears with him in a lot of the panels, in case you feel like including him; totally not necessary, also not necessary to color him if he does get included). If any of the images don't work for proportional reasons or are just too much of a pain to wrangle with, feel free to skip them. I think there's one image file with multiple panels with him, if that's the case I'd be interested in both panels as icons if that's possible! There's a black lizard that moves around on his skin which is meant to be there; I couldn't find an easy reference image but it's solid black and meant to look like a tattoo, it just moves. Stray weird black blotches are meant to be there, essentially.

Would you prefer I make a donation directly to the gofundme or send you the funds? I'm happy to do either, also happy to pay up front especially if there are concerns about how long the donations will be accepted.

No worries about the style or screentones, these look totally fine! One of them might surprise me and be tricky, but if any of them come out unsatisfactory just let me know - I don't mind redoing them. I'll do any image Natori and Cat appear in that isn't too small, but you don't have to pay me extra if I go too far over 34.

In terms of money, as long as it goes to the fundraiser I don't mind how it gets there, so whatever you feel most comfortable with! If you want to give more to the fundraiser you can, but you definitely don't have to pay me extra or anything, I'm happy to do these! Ordinarily I wouldn't want to charge before it's done, but since I don't know how long it's going to be open for, sooner might be better in this case. Please don't feel like you have to though, I'll try to go through these as quickly as I can.

(And I don't know Cat's name but he's cute so I will definitely include him when I can if the cropping looks okay)

In any case, I'll go ahead and get started!
